Welcome To South Middle School!

Throughout middle school, a person’s brain develops more than in any other time except for newborns. At South, we strive to usher young people through this period of intense development so they emerge on the other side with incisive critical thinking abilities, effective communication skills, a positive self-image and a strong sense of oneself, good social skills and effective self-management strategies, and an appreciation for their role and responsibility within the community. We consider ourselves lucky to be a part of raising Braintree’s young people and work hard to establish a community that welcomes all members as part of our South family.

We are committed to learning together and growing together as we share our own knowledge, values, and experiences and learn how to appreciate others’ viewpoints and experiences. We work hard to achieve academic success, and we look for every opportunity to enjoy our time together, too!
