Preschool Program
 Five-week program
Offered daily 8:30-11:45 am
Sign up for two, three or five days a week

The preschool program is open to three, four and five year olds. It is designed
to promote socialization and learning readiness skills in young children. Activities
include arts and crafts, singing, finger play, story hour, and group interaction.
All children must be toilet trained.
The preschool hours will be 8:30 am until
11:45 am. Children may attend for two, three or five days per week.
Schedule

Pre-K Program
Get ready for Kindergarten! This pre-kindergarten program will
prepare your incoming kindergartener for their 2010-2011 kindergarten year.
This program focuses on the necessary literacy and math skills to help your
child become successful in kindergarten. Children are exposed to literature
through means of books, big books, poems, rhymes, and songs. They will participate
in various hands-on math activities. This program runs Monday to Friday from
8:30 am -11:45 am. Kindergarten here we come!

Small Group Tutoring
Reading – Writing – Math
This is a convenient tutoring opportunity in a school setting. This course
will be designed around the needs of the participants. Students will have
fun while practicing their skills. There will be a maximum of 6 students
per group. Students may sign up for 2 or 3 week sessions rather than the
full 5 weeks.
Two Sessions
Session 1) June 28– July 16 (14 days) $135.00 (non-residents $145.00)
Session 2) July 19 –July 30 (10 days) $110.00 (non-residents $120.00)

MINI – COURSES
The following courses will be offered as part of the summer school program.
These courses will not follow the same 5 week schedule. Check out the individual
courses for specific dates and times.
Drama Workshop (gr. 1-6) Cafeteria
Students will learn what goes into the production of live theater such as High
School Musical and the classics with a twist, maybe Cinderella Goes Disco.
This will include acting, singing, dancing, set designing and costume making.
It will culminate in a live performance for parents and guests. This will
be a three and a half hour course. It will be offered in two sessions. You
may choose either session or both sessions.

Minute To Win It (gr. K-6) Gym Lobby
Similar to NBC’s Minute To Win It, students will compete in teams of
four. Throughout the mini-course students will compete in games seen on the
hit television show. One of the games may include EGG ROLL which students moves
three eggs across the floor and into a target area only by “fanning” the
eggs with an empty pizza box. Please join us for 2 hours of fun and excitement
while we try to WIN it in a MINUTE!

Beginner Guitar (gr. 2-6) Music Room
Have you ever wanted to learn to play guitar? Well come
join SPARK this summer where you can learn notes, chords, guitar maintenance,
tablature and, yes,
rock n’ roll songs! Whether you are a brand new player or seasoned rocker,
you are welcome. Just provide the guitar!
