A Message from Nurse Sara - November 2019
Helping Braintree Families at Holiday Time
Braintree has a great tradition of working as a community to assure that all Braintree families have a wonderful holiday season. The Braintree Holidays/Friends, Inc. and The Marge Crispin Center will help families in need during the 2019 holiday season. Food, clothing, toys and essential items are provided to those in need. I have applications for families who would benefit from this assistance. If you need assistance, please contact Nurse Sara at 781-794-8420, and all referrals are confidential. Deadlines for submitting applications are by November 12, 2019 for Thanksgiving, and December 10, 2019 for Christmas.
A reminder to always call the absentee line if your child is absent for any reason at 781-794-8420 and press 1.
If your child has food allergies and is buying lunch or breakfast, it is imperative that you monitor the menu daily. Please contact Sarah Coughlin, School Nutrition & Food Services Director at 781-848-4000 x7045 or email@example.com with ANY ingredient related questions for your child’s safety. Please do not assume that all breakfast and lunches are allergen free for your child. This is also the case for other food restrictions that apply to your child.
Although the weather is getting colder, recess will be held outside for the full day students. Be sure to dress your child in layers, and don’t forget hats and mittens.
Remember to keep your child home with a fever of 100 or higher, diarrhea, vomiting, constant runny nose, persistent cough, or strep throat. Your child must be fever free (without the use of fever reducing medications) and no vomiting/diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school.
